With a progressive and holistic early childhoood education philosophy, I understand that each child has unique needs and interests. I provide the environment and tools your child needs to thrive to the best of their abilities. When we expose children to different environments and various learning experiences, we allow them to explore their self-awareness and gain a sense of the world around them. Once they leave Sunshine Kids Daycare, they’re fully prepared for the next stage of their young lives.

Karen is from Limerick and has worked with children in many settings all across the globe for the last 20 years. She spent 8 years in a creche getting experience with ages 8months to 13 years and then went on to become a private nanny, open her own children's entertainment business, a Montessori teacher and write a children's book which can be found in Irish stores. 
She takes a special interest in children's mental health and has completed a course to become an accredited children's mindfulness practitioner and is constantly undertaking professional development courses related to childcare with a focus on Neurodivergence.
First Aid, Garda vetting and insurance are always up to date and she is a member of Childminding Ireland. (You may ask to see any of these at any time.) 
 

FAQ

1. What are your fees? 
Fees currently are 60 euro per day per preschool child but have the potential to increase in accordance with the cost of living. 
Afterschool rate is 35 euro including pickup from school and a meal. 

2. Do you have space for my child? 
I do not currently have space.

3. Do you take NCS? 
Yes. I am Tusla registered and offer the NCS

4. Do you have any pets? 
Yes. I have 3 medium sized sighthounds who remain in their own area of the house away from the children. They're very friendly but like their space.

5. What is included in my fee? 
Excellent care of your treasured child, snacks, wipes, arts and crafts supplies, baking ingredients and all the rest of the things that are required to keep a child happy for a day.
